Focus Day  is our premier advocacy event.  On Focus Day, PTA members from across the state gather in Olympia to put kids front and center in the legislature. This year, please plan to join us on MONDAY, JANUARY 16 in Olympia for what is certain to be an engaging event.

Washington State Legislature

The Washington State Legislature is a bicameral body with 49 members in the Senate and 98 members in the House of Representatives.
You can track bills, read and comment on proposed legislation, learn about committee hearings and testifying,  and find all other legislative session information here.

School directors (school board members) are the elected “governors” of the school district, serving four-year terms. The school board holds monthly meetings that are open to the public.  School board members can be reached via email (see website). Many are willing to meet either individually or with small groups.
